Preparing for Shipping and Surveys Due September 27, 2021

71% of you have completed your surveys so far, and already we are seeing some of the limited add-ons start to run low in BackerKit. As always, the best way to guarantee that you secure all of the add-ons your want is to complete your survey early; those first to open and handle their survey get the best choice of add-on items when supplies are low.

We are still on track to handle shipping project rewards in October, with the warehouse crew already assembling the items they need to pack your rewards.  We have received several new bookmarks in recent weeks, as well as lots of other Munchkin games, expansions, and accessories. Those of you who have already completed your surveys know exactly what we mean when we say: You've got a lot to choose from in BackerKit.

Surveys are open!

All project supporters have been sent their BackerKit survey. You have until September 27 (two weeks from today) to complete your survey. Failure to complete your survey by the deadline will result in a refund and removal from the campaign.

Notable Add-Ons

A few add-ons we want to highlight:

• Munchkin Promo Booklets Promo Pack - As requested by backers, this is a duplicate of the project stretch goal promo bookmarks and promo cards. This is a semi-random pack of eight bookmarks and six promo cards, drawn from a specific stash of bookmarks and cards. Purchasing this may lead to multiples, so we suggest you don't go too heavy on this one if you decide to add it to your rewards.
• Bookmark Dice Bundle - Several of the new Munchkin bookmarks were designed for use with some of our dice sets, so we constructed this dice bundle for those of you who want to grab several of the dice that are associated with some of the new bookmarks.
• Munchkin Gift Pack - At $35, this is an incredible bargain! This box includes three different Munchkin games as well as new cards. Better still, the three games are already gift-wrapped and ready to use as holiday gifts! A fantastic buy if you need to prepare for the holiday season.

There's no shortage of goodies to choose from, but act fast since some items are limited and may be gone if you wait too long!

BackerKit Smoke Tests and Survey Deadline

Two important bits of news today:

• The BackerKit smoke tests have started! What's a smoke test? This is when BackerKit sends the survey to a small number (10%) of backers so that we can verify everything is working properly before we send the surveys to all backers. So far, everything is working well and we think we're on track to send out all surveys no later than September 14.
• Surveys must be completed by September 27! Any incomplete surveys will be refunded and removed from the campaign starting on September 28. This is important so that we can lock addresses and start the project fulfillment process. We will post another update once all surveys are sent out to the project supporters.

Survey Update and New Munchkin Cards Coming to Kickstarter

Two bits of news today:

• Darryll is working on the BackerKit surveys and we expect to open surveys the week of September 13 (or earlier, if we can manage it). Once surveys launch, we will announce the survey deadline so that everyone knows the cutoff date for completing surveys.
• The upcoming Random Fun Generator 2 Kickstarter campaign (follow today!) will include a couple of reward levels that have seven new Munchkin cards. These rewards will be limited, though the cards will not be exclusive to Kickstarter and we may offer them again in the future.

Next Steps and Munchkin Pre-Orders

Thank you, everyone, for making this project such an incredible success! We thought the promo booklets and the new level die would be popular, but we never expected to see so many of you join the campaign so very quickly. Thank you!

What's next? Kickstarter will process credit cards and we will work on the BackerKit surveys. We expect to open those in September, hopefully closing surveys before the end of September so that we can prepare your rewards. And, at the same time, we will place the orders for the two booklets and the new bookmarks.

Pre-Orders at Warehouse 23

There are two Munchkin pre-orders at our online store, Warehouse 23, that may interest all of you:

•  Limited Edition Munchkin 20th Anniversary T-Shirt - We opened pre-orders for this new shirt last week and will close pre-orders very soon. There's not much time left to secure the shirt in your size!
•  Munchkin Foam Unnatural Axe - It's huge - (30 inches long). It’s unnatural. And it’s very axe-y. It’s Flower’s best friend, the Unnatural Axe! Rendered by Gargoyle Studios in soft foam with a leather-wrapped handle, painted in metallics and bright red with glaring red eyes, this is possibly the finest Munchkin toy we have ever produced. Words do not do it justice, and interpretive dance is out of the question, so look at the picture!
